Trial Class with Miss Lulu
We were 15 minutes early to the centre as suggested. Once entered the door, there was a nice play area with a slide, a small ballpit, kitchens and other toys available. The staff at the reception gave us a temperature check and have our hands sanitized, she then explained to me their practices and introduced to me how their classes would be run. We were then left at the play area for my daughter to get used to the environment.
By the time the class should start, we were led into the classroom. There were two classrooms but only one has been using that morning. There were a total of four toddlers in the class. First we sang a hello song, played with the shakers; then the toddlers learnt a bit of matching, played the slide for awhile, each toddler was given a tray with two tangerines inside. This was said to be their highlighted activity in the class - sensory activity with food. So the toddlers got to feel, smell and taste the tangerines. Then they sang goodbye song and that was it.
The class was run in English and they have slightly some elements of Kindermusik. There were not too many activities in the one-hour session so toddlers were allowed sometime to do their things before moving on to the next part.
After the class, another staff came to me explaining the package and how their classes would be planned in a term. After that they let us consider and could go back them within the day to enjoy the discounted rate.
So far it was a pleasant experience. My husband went with us this time and he felt the class was fun and well organised too.
However in terms of hygienic condition, I think they could do better as after the staff has cleaned the classroom, we went in and i could still see the mat with hair and dirt, but the condition was still acceptable.
