Overview
Scholastic Chess currently offers four types of programs. The first program is to bring the benefits of chess to schools, by managing and helping schools run their on-campus chess programs. This includes chess clubs, after-school classes, and organizing special events for the school.
The second program primarily serves students through group classes. These are small groups to ensure close attention from the instructor. The classes offered ranges from an introductory class that teaches a student who has never been exposed to chess, to intermediate and advanced tournament levels.
The third program is personalized one-on-one coaching. The fourth component is our monthly tournaments where players are grouped based on strength (not age). Scholastic Chess works closely with the World Chess Federation’s Chess in Schools Commission to bring the benefits of chess to students in Hong Kong and around the world. As of 2017 Q2, Scholastic Chess is the largest manager of on-campus chess programs.
