Hong Kong Swings

Our classes break down Lindy Hop into modules just for organisation purposes. You can take them in any order, but you should complete all the modules in a level before moving up to the next level. Don’t rush. Enjoy the journey!

LEVEL 1 – INTRO TO SWING

No experience or partner required. The idea of this course is to provide solid fundamentals and after a few classes, go to a social to dance, and also to create a solid foundation upon which to continue learning.

Thurs Aug 3, 10, 17, 24, 31: L1 Charleston 1 – open for registration FULL FOR FOLLOWERS, Accepting Leaders and couples only

Thurs Sep 7, 14, 21, 28 (4 weeks, 8.30-9.45pm): L1 6 count 1

Thurs Oct 12, 19, 26, Nov 2, 9: L1 8 count 1

Thurs Nov 16, 23, 30, Dec 7, 14: L1 Charleston 1

Start with any L1 module and complete all the L1 modules in any order before moving on to L2. Retake the same L1 module at a discount!

LEVEL 2 – CLASSIC MOVES OF SWING
 

New moves, rhythms, combos. Combine with regular social dancing and a whole new world will open up to you!

We recommend you complete all the L1 modules before moving on to L2.  Complete all the L2 modules in any order before moving on to L3. Retake the same L2 module at a discount!

LEVEL 3 – LET’S GET TRICKY

Technique, music, and styling. Things start to get trickier.. faster.. and FUN!

We recommend you to complete all the L2 modules in any order before taking L3.

Fri Sep 1, 8, 15, 22, 29: L3 Charleston 3

Fri Oct 6, 13, 20, 27, Nov 3: L3 Music & Improv

Fri Nov 10, 17, 24, Dec 1, 8: L3 Spins & Turns 2

Pricing

5-week courses (each class 1 hour): $680 full course / Drop in $200 (no drop ins after week 2 unless otherwise specified)

4-week courses (each class 1 hour 15 minutes): $680 full course /Drop in $230 (no drop ins after week 1 unless otherwise specified)

As classes are progressive, we strongly encourage you to take the full course. If you have personal difficulty committing to the full course after our drop-in period, please send us an email or speak to your teachers so we can work it out with you.
