Useful school tour but would suggest another time to visit if you would like to see the Foundation Class in action
We were given a place on the Mid-Levels’ campus tour following a request to the Stanley campus’ admission team. Upon arriving, I would say the Mid-Levels campus is closer to Sheung Wan (near the Tung Wah Hospital). Since I had already attended the Stanley campus information tour, I mainly attended this tour to have a look at the campus and to observe the Foundation class (ages 2-3.5) (the year group we are interested to apply for). Unfortunately, as the new school year has just started, we could only catch a glimpse of the classroom and couldn’t observe the classroom (as we could do for the Casa dei Bambini classes). Compared to the Stanley campus, this one lacks outdoor space and the classrooms are a bit smaller and dimmer with less natural lighting. Parents and caregivers of children of the Foundation Programme are sat outside in the (slightly stuffy) corridor to wait. It was nice to see parent volunteers working in the school and they also help to run the school library. In summary: This campus wouldn’t necessarily be our first choice given the location and campus facility. If you would like a more detailed understanding of IMS, would suggest to go for the Information session at the Stanley Campus instead. Also, it may be more helpful to sign up for a school tour later in the school year if you are interested in seeing the Foundation class in action.
