Mount Kelly International Preschool
Location and campus facility not ideal for preschool
We attended a Babies’ and Toddler’s information session and sampler class at their campus at Austine Place. The location was slightly difficult to find given the area is going through significant redevelopment at the moment. The route to the school from the Austin MTR station wasn’t very accessible for strollers. It was also disappointing to see the campus wasn’t very baby friendly and there weren’t sufficient space for strollers. Given this campus is dedicated to preschool, I didn’t feel the location or campus was necessarily ideal for babies and toddlers. The class itself was mainly free play, working through different activities and ended with circle time (songs and story). Compared to a few other places we tried, the experience was fair and didn’t necessarily differ from many other places we had tried previously. In summary: I wouldn’t necessarily recommend this school as a preschool given the location and campus itself. I felt the school relies a bit too much on its brand and affiliation with Mount Kelly in the UK. Given that it’s such as new school, I feel there is still some more work to be done in order to truly accommodate the needs of the children so that it becomes a school on its own merits.
