Garden House Kindergarten

It was the Open House of the Garden House Kindergarten. The administrative work of the school is pretty impressive as they would send out emails to confirm your registration, and they also have a reminder email listing out the schedule and dos and donts at the school. As the school is a Waldorf school, even it's an Open House, parents weren't allowed to take photos. The schedule of the trial class was like this - 30 minutes of free play, then kids were to tidy up, sing songs in circle, snack time and story time. It was unfortunate though that the free play session was pretty messy that the teachers didn't encourage the parents to sit back and relax, and to observe the toddlers play by themselves. Hence, instead of having a trial of the waldorf approach, it's more like of a trial of waldorf classroom and toys. That was a bit disappointing. In terms of the facilities, the place was pretty big with an indoor playground and an outdoor kitchen. They have a big fish tank too. The property is also close to a beach and other hiking trails so it's really ideal for bringing the students to the nature. However, it was really inconvenient. It's best if the parents drive. They have a public parking lot right outside of the property.
