Winner of the Advanced Level - Queenie Choi
The Young Laureate inspired me to continue consolidating my reading and writing skills, and to read and write more widely in areas of interest. I would recommend this competition to peers because the chance to study in the UK for two weeks was an experience of a lifetime. Being taught by Oxbridge professors and academics, I got exposure to concepts that are outside the confines of my school curriculum, and got a taste for what university lectures are like. The course allowed me to develop my critical thinking skills, and the mock interviews were very useful for me in understanding the types of questions that will be asked.
