Overview
ARCH Community Outreach (“ACO”) was established in 2011 by founders of ARCH Education. ACO is a non-profit charity aimed at broadening Hong Kong youth’s exposure to international education experiences and diverse careers networks.. Annually a portion of profits from ARCH Education is donated to ACO to continue its outreach initiatives. ACO received endorsement from St. James’ Settlement in 2012 as a partner charity. ACO collaborates with academic institutions, corporates and NGOs to organize, support and deliver various Widening Participation Programs and Widening Access Programs.
Widening Participation Programs are open to all students residing in Hong Kong and include the Global Aspiring Medic Conference (GAMC), Hong Kong Inter-School Mock Trial Championship (HKIMTC), and the Young Laureate Award. Through these offerings, students have the opportunity to learn from world-class professors, receive sponsorship to travel to the US for international competitions, and scholarship to attend academic summer programs in the UK/US.
Widening Access Programs are highly selective and aim to provide high-achieving under-represented students residing in Hong Kong with exposure to careers and university application support to UK and US. ACO also provides school training and workshops for participating schools based on selection criteria.
